New Review! Gypsy Blood by Jeff Gunhus 3.5 Cranky Stars

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 Cranky Stars

It took the book almost mid way for me to get into it and for something solid to happen that would keep my attention. The beginning of the book started slow and mid way is when the action really started. From this point on the action of the characters, even if you’ve never really heard or know much about them, keep you wanting to read on. Now, there is a little too much (memories) back story with characters. It would get a little long and I would start to lose interest.

The book had its moments that had you lost in that particular scene of being sad or angry and wanting to reach through the pages and knock someone out.

Corbin and Margot were intertwined from the start. When they encountered the Gypsy man in the alley and witnessed his attack and when Corbin tried to help him, Corbin’s world got turned upside down from that moment. The attacker who is an Albino now watched Corbin and Margot and even though the Gypsy was dead he wanted the body. Now the Gypsys want Corbin and Margot, mainly Margot, because they will help them carry out their plan of death and destruction of the world.

Caught between a feud, trying not to get caught and making a plan are the choices that Corbin and Margot must figure out in order to stay alive. Along the way Detective Besson is not a friend but he too must stay alive and work with Corbin and Margot. The obstacles they all face and the tragedy that they have shared will help them face what is to come.
