My rating: 5 of 5 stars

***** 5 Cranky Stars *****

I'm going bump Dr Hunt Hardick to the top of my book boyfriend list. This man whirls into a bar in Orange pants, a pea green jacket, a vest and a pocket watch. This sets the stage for this larger than life man with a giant heart. He's so compassionate and kind and you fall quick.

Happy is the quintessential quirky girl. She wears sequins because they make her happy and carries Christmas lights in her purse to string up wherever she's at because they make her safe.

He's fresh off a break up and she's still recovering from a traumatic albeit confusing past. She has a journal full of things to conquer before her skin condition sets in.

This is where Dr Hardick comes into play. He is immediately taken by this beautiful girl.

She falls while trying to keep him at arms length. He sets out to help her achieve her goals while working his way into her heart.

This book was a slow burn. Every almost touch and almost kiss you felt. I had goosebumps at times because they both have such a naughty mouth but conveyed their words with such passion. A Wilding Wells writes such magical words. You want to be quirky and carry Christmas lights right along with Happy. How freeing it must be to be them while navigating such drama.

This Crankster recommends all of AWWs books. Put on your best sequin dress or vest grab some scotch and settle in for an amazing ride.

Shmoop demands it!! Go fly free little bluebird!!!
