My rating: 5 of 5 stars

***** 5 Cranky Stars *****

As young kids Ireland and Bentley met at their aunt and uncle's wedding . Being so young, little Ireland is sure that Bently has cooties, and young Bently is sure that Ireland's an annoying girl. Even when Bently makes her cry he feels instantly protective of her. As they grow up they become best friend and then more.

When Ireland is 16 her whole world comes crashing down. Tragedy strikes and she's taken away from the only life and love she's ever known.

Quote:
"It took nearly two years, but someone had finally eased the pain of losing everyone I’d ever loved."
"One by one everyone I’d ever loved had left me."

In those two years Ireland meets Katie and her family takes her in as their own. Finally she has love again but she's shut herself off from any kind of romantic relationship as her heart has always belonged to Bentley. You can't lose what you don't have.

James "Bentley" never got over the loss of his Shamrock. He lost his two favorite people that dreadful day. He's gone on with life and even got married when his college girlfriend found out they were pregnant. That marriage didn't last long and soon they divorced.

Fast forward and it's her best friends wedding day. As the maid of honor it's Ireland's job to walk down the isle with the grooms best man. Low and behold it's her Bentley...

This story talked of love, loss and everything in between. MC Decker has a way with words and weaves a believable tale that sucks you in from page one. This book is worth the read as are all of MC Decker's books.
