New Review! East of Redemption by Molly E Lee, 4 Cranky Stars

East of Redemption (Love on the Edge #2)East of Redemption by Molly E. Lee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was humming the Indiana Jones theme while reading. This is story of Easton and Rain who adorably call each other Compass and Raindrop. He's a foster kid taken in by a famed archeologist and she's the daughter of that archeologist. They grew up together and fell in love. Easton grew up to become an archeologist like his mentor and while on a dig tragedy struck. Easton is reunited 10 years later with his one true love, Rain, who is now a famed wildlife photographer, to save his floundering reality show. They set off on an adventure full of a conniving ex girlfriend, disgruntled locals and dangerous wildlife in Israel in search of King Soloman’s treasure. At times I struggled with this book mainly because I kept thinking Indiana Jones meets Survivor Man, but I still enjoyed it. This book has just the right amount of drama and adventure. The connection between Easton and Rain was admirable. Despite the rift they connected like 10 years never passed. Had each other’s back. I can't wait to see what other adventures Molly Lee gives us down the road. It’s also obvious the author did her research on treasure hunting. Recommended.
