New Review! Break Even by Lisa De Jong, 4 Cranky Stars

This is a story of love, loss and ultimate deceit. Things aren’t always what they seem, and for Marley that’s proven time and time again. She may look like the perfect wife with the perfect husband, but in reality, they’re strangers barely passing by. Feeling alone and missing a husband that’s never around, she puts all her energy and time into her work.

When she’s given a new client, River, he automatically sparks feelings in her she’s been missing for a long time, and that puts a red flag up immediately. She begins to wonder how she can feel this much from a stranger, when she’s been searching for this same feeling with her own husband, Cole.

A major plot twist I didn’t see coming hits you at the end, along with lies and truths uncovered, and lost emotions reignited. A definite mix of emotions, and it had me questioning which sides to take. People make emotional decisions all the time, but dealing with the outcome can be a life changer for everyone involved.
