New Review! Adrenaline Crush by Sunniva Dee, 5 Cranky Stars

This book is funny, sweet, angst-ridden, thought-provoking, and touching.  It’s the first book I’ve read by this author, but it won’t be the last.

Adrenaline centers on Ingela, who moved from Sweden to start over and go to college in the States.  She has a complicated love-hate affair with Bo, her ex and the love of her life.  She loves for the adrenaline rush she gets every time she’s with him and hates the effect he has on her.

Like many of us can relate, Ingela believes Bo was her one and only chance at true love, but her heart can only take so much.

Enter Cameron:  Mr. McHotness, an extreme sports loving adrenaline junkie.  He works at the bar, Smother, with Ingela and they become good friends.  She amuses him and let me just say, Ingela’s use of language in this work made me (and Cameron) laugh out loud. They keep the boundaries in tact until one night when the safety valves come off.

This book was amazing.  I laughed so hard at Ingela and Cameron's antics. Even the supporting characters had me in stitches. If you enjoy unusual love affairs, use of language, and laughing until your stomach hurts:  highly recommended.
